Keep Your Eyes On Him.

To all those seeking Christ,

When I was in prison, I was fortunate enough to see real faith. I saw men continuing to live out their faith when church was over.

Church then was a place where believers came together and heard God's message and learned what it meant to whoever was speaking that particular night. A place where iron sharpened iron.

But I've learned that when the service is over, is when the real faith shows.

I saw men carrying an unpopular message into hostile territory and doing so without fear or shame.

When I was released, and I experienced the church out here in the free world. I realized it felt devoid of the spirit I had been witnessing inside. I saw people judging others on their appearance and their worldly possessions and status. To be honest, it made me sick.

Where was Christ's message? Didn't He say, "Lay not up treasures on earth"? Did He not say, "He came to call the sinners"?

Yet I found no place for a soul that had truly touched evil. Instead I found a refuge for people seeking to use God as an insurance policy. "Remember all those times I put money in that shiny plate?"

I saw vast amounts of people who had no intention of taking God's message with them when they left that beautiful building. They were only seeking to be remembered by God in case something went wrong "don't let this happen to me Lord, I was in church every Sunday."

The church in the West is the reason we even have terms like "jailhouse religion." Men and women are released from institutions with a genuine heart for the Lord, they then go to churches and realize that they are not accepted - and in some cases, outright unwelcome.

That's why I started this ministry.

I don't care who you are or what you've done in your life. I don't care about your race, appearance, or socioeconomic status.

If you love Christ and want to live out the things He said, then you're welcome.

Just Look Up Ministries is not a place to come and nitpick theology or debate whether the Trinity is three things or one thing. It's a place to put your money where your mouth is, where matters of faith are concerned, and learn to live out your faith in everyday life.
